To play back what I heard so it sinks in to me further: Giving in to the urge to try to separate myself from capitalism just perpetuates the myth of separation that is capitalism's core lie. Instead, the thing to shift is my *relationship* to capitalism -- or any other "evil" I might be tempted to push away, for that matter. It is part of reality and therefore part of Me...
I think you’re on to something. One of the conceits I was taught growing up is that there is a ‘view from nowhere,’ a way of seeing objectively that takes me out of the picture. I don’t believe it today and your words help give shape to my own intuitions. 🙏
