Can Mentorship Help Today's Youth? with Janaiha Bennett
In this episode I speak with Janaiha Bennett, the Executive Director of the Youth Leadership Foundation (YLF).
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Honors Psychology from The George Washington University, a Master’s degree in School Psychology from the University of Maryland, and she is a graduate of the Nonprofit Management Certificate Program at Georgetown’s McCourt Center for Public & Nonprofit Leadership. A DC native, Janaiha started as a mentor with YLF 15 years ago, and is the organization’s first black or female leader, serving as Executive Director since 2018.
In this episode, we talk about the art and craft of mentorship and what it entails, how young people and parents can be involved in mentorship at home and much more.
